Hiii, I’m

Dr. Shayda!

I’m a Wife, Mom, Daughter, Sister, Holistic Psychotherapist, & Breathworker . Having trained in various modalities, I use a humanistic approach tailored to your unique needs.

Being human is messy and layered. Anxiety. Major life shifts. Complicated families and relationships (because let’s be honest—most are). Grief that shows up in unexpected ways. It’s a lot to carry. And sometimes, even when you're doing “all the right things,” it still feels heavy.

Therapy is a space to gently untangle what’s overwhelming and reconnect with the parts of you that feel steady, wise, and whole.

My approach is honest, compassionate, and deeply relational. I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods and takes notes in silence, I show up with you. My clients know they matter to me. They know I’ll be real with them, that they’ll feel seen, supported, and challenged in the best way.

Our work together isn’t about fixing you—it’s about helping you return to yourself. Together, we’ll move through the hard stuff, hold space for what’s tender, and create more room for the life you’re craving.

It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Get To Know Me

  • I cofounded Heal ATL Counseling & Wellness in 2018 with the intention to build a holistically minded, compassionate, and integrative whole person care practice that focuses on mental health and integrative wellness. Learn More: www.healatl.com

  • I am a first generation Persian-American, grew up a child of hard working immigrants. ENFJ. My early interest in human psychology and my life experiences that have shaped me, bring me today. I’ve known I wanted to be a therapist since I saw one on the Oprah show at the age of 8 years old. Later, AP Psychology in high school affirmed that calling and the rest is history. I’ve dedicated my entire professional career to raising mental health awareness, and learning everything I can to support women as an exceptional psychotherapist. I love what I do, and I am honored to be able to do it. I care deeply for my clients, giving them tools to heal & care for themselves and to create a life they love, is my passion.

  • I am a new-ish mom, to a toddler. I understand how beautiful yet difficult early motherhood can be. Having lived with postpartum anxiety and depression, I understand how challenging those early days/years can be. I love supporting and being a resource to moms in all phases and stages of motherhood!

  • I believe in living a creative life. Not just the kind that paints or writes or designs (though I love all of that). But the kind that creates space—for beauty, for breath, for becoming.

A creative life is one that honors intuition. That trusts slow mornings, scribbled notes, and the quiet pull toward something meaningful.

It’s how we reclaim our voice, reconnect to joy, and remember that we are the artists of our own healing.

You don’t have to be “artistic” to be creative. Every time you choose softness instead of shame, rest instead of rushing, expression instead of suppression… you’re creating a new way of being.

    And that, too, is art.

My art takes many different forms; I paint, draw, I make jewelry, fiber art, digital art, the list goes on. I love interior design, creating healing spaces, you can see my work at the Heal ATL offices! I love working with my hands, designing, and being in the flow state of creativity and following whatever is inspiring me in the moment.
